At 11am PST, Janet and Sheri embarked on a helicopter tour from Las Vegas to inside the Grand Canyon (west).  While 3,000 ft below the Canyon rim, Sheri surprised Janet with a proposal of marriage.  

The picture here is completely candid.  Janet had no idea this was coming and our pilot, who took the photo, didn't know what he was about to capture.  It was an unforgettable experience!

**little did Janet know, she picked the location.  We had been planning a trip to Vegas (where I planned to propose) and she wanted to go on a tour of the Grand Canyon during our stay.   

8 years, 9 months and 7 days had passed in our journey together.   

There was lots of planning involved to get to that moment in the Grand Canyon.  But what I certainly didn't plan.... 3 days earlier, the Supreme Court legalized same sex marriage Nationwide.
